Recently as I have been reading from the suggested list from R3Global, I am finding that I am enjoying some of the "old timers". Dale Carnegie, Zig Ziglar to name a few.

Both teach age old fundermentals about what is being suggested in our Monavie business building tool box. Mmmmm, do you think maybe Dallin and Brig read the same materials? LOL

Yesterday during my 15 minutes of daily reading, I got on YouTube and listen to some video presentations by Zig Ziglar. He really is funny. He has a very southern drawl and a good sense of humor. I chose GOALS. I am listing the main points below and you can click on the link (Goals) and check it out too.

THE M.O.R.E. PROJECT

With Christmas fast approaching, I am always reminded of how much I have and how much I have been given. Then I am reminded of the fact there are so many others in world who have so very little.

This morning I was reading my emails and there was one from the MORE Project. In looking over their new and beautiful I might add, website, I came across a story of a small group that is helping the world end hunger. These are Americans from all over the country.

Tragedy struck them a few months ago and they lost a group of very hard working volunteers in a plane crash in Guatemala. They were going there to help a group in a very similar way that the MORE Project in Brazil does. Please pray for the Families of those who lost their lives that day as the Holiday's will be tough for them.

Groups like Choice Humanitarian need support on a regular basis as does our own M.O.R.E. Project.

I am constantly uncovering the deeper "why" in my heart that moves me towards my goals. This week I realized how deeply I want to start something like or a sister to our own MORE Project in Mexico. How wonderful it was to discover Choice Humanitarian and the work they are already doing in Mexico.

With the market opening for Monavie in Mexico, maybe there is a spot for those of us who can help our neighbors live a better life? How wonderful it would be to be a part of ending even a speck of poverty there. It is my deeper why.

Sound like something right out of the M.A.P. book. But that is a quote from Robert Kiyosaki. What he says is very true. There is an energy that happens inside us that is unmistakable when we are passionate about what we are doing. So many people have said to me through the years that they loved what they were doing so much they did not care if they got paid, they would still do it. That is the way I feel about singing. All I want to do is sing. Whether I get paid or not has never been a factor. But in business getting paid is a factor. The passion for it however, is no different.

If you have not already done so, I would love to suggest Robert's book BUSINESS SCHOOL. For those of us on the Diamond Run, it is required reading. It is a fast read packed with tons of great suggestions. You can pick it up anywhere.

AUTISM AND JENNY McCARTHY'S NEW BOOK

Recently, a very close friend of mine who is also a Monavie success story, told me about a group of Mom's who discovered wonderful benefits from giving their autistic children Monavie Active.

This amazing account from Jenny's book lets the world know that there is hope for their children too. Monavie DOES NOT cure autism. What it DOES do is to provide their brains with essential fatty acids and glyconutrients. These ingredients are deficiencies in children with autism. Their bodies need these ingredients because of the autoimmune disorder most autistic children have.

I have been very interested in this information because my 4 year old son Jacob, who we adopted from the county and came to us as a result of a drug addicted mother, was a prime candidate for autism. By the grace of God he does not have autism. However, he has many other delays which concern me. At 4 years old it is not clear to me (because his speech is so delayed) just how the juice is helping him. All he knows right now is that it taste good!!!

I urge everyone to be cautious when you talk to someone who may have an autistic child about Monavie. Many parents view it as a "snake oil" cure all. Let them know that there have been many families who see very possitive changes in their child. Hopefully, they will let their child try it at the very least.

If you have not done so, please come to the Wednesday Night Tasting at Patti Salerno's on June 11 to hear Lori Balogh, Blue Diamond, speak. She recently was a guest speaker at the Black Diamond University 2 day training in Anaheim and in Northern California. She is one who has taken the time to know and understand the health benefits of Monavie and she has done it extremely well. This would be a great meeting to bring people to who have a lot of questions regarding the juice itself.

On another note!!!! Tonight at the Hacienda Hotel in El Segundo at 7:00 P.M., there is a meeting featuring Dr. Louis Niles. If you have not heard his story you can go to U Tube and type in his name. Watch the one that is 9 min. and 54 seconds longs. If you like what you see, then come and join us there tonight. It is $10.00 per person to get in. The more we understand and know our product, the better we will be and the more confident we will be in sharing Monavie with others.

CHECKING IN

Well, it is Friday once again and I hope that you have all had a great week!

I want to pass on some insights from Patti that I think are very important in helping us all to build our business.

On April 10th at the Manhattan Beach Tennis Club, there will be an evening of Black Diamond University speakers. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. We are all urged to be there as it is a very important meeting for those who want to grow their business. we can really have a Team presence!

Black Diamond University is where we need to be to plug into the events, tools and activities available for each of us as we build our business'. You can check either here on our Team blog or on the www.blackdiamonduniversity.com website for upcoming trainings and speakers.

It is also important to pass this information on to your down line. Especially your new distributors as they really need to have a place to "plug" into for help and information.

By staying connected, we can build our business, by attending these events and sharing this information with everyone, we can grow personally and professionally. If we take advantage of these valuable tools we will surely be on our way to Black Diamonds too! These are the people who are already there and they are openly sharing with us how they did it.

SUPER SATURDAY RECALL

What a great meeting we had yesterday at Patti's house! Thank you Lori for coming down here and giving us your time and wisdom. I learned so much from her.

Lori is very knowledgeable about MonaVie and the health information from this fabulous juice.

She made some very important points which I am listing below.

1. Share the juice! ~ I need to get our juice out there in order to find buyers or potential sellers. Open the bottle with the person, ask if you can leave it with them and ask if you can get back to them to get their input on what they think about the juice.

2. Keep it simple. ~ Lori suggest I give a new client a bottle of juice, a copy of the magazine, 'Breakthrough In Health (www.blackdiamonduniversity.com) and the brochure, 'Premier Acai Blend'. Easy reading and the magazine is packed with so much information and includes a CD about the acai berry.

3. Have a 20/20 vision. ~ This means I can set a goal to sign 20 people on the left leg and 20 people on the right leg. Not everyone will sell, not everyone will continue to drink the juice, but out of those 20 (each side) will be the sellers/drinkers I need to build my business.

4. Lead with the juice! ~ I need to remember that I am a juice seller. Therefore, I need to make it about the juice. My product is awesome and it sells itself.

5. When someone asks me how they can get more juice, I ask them if they would like it wholesale or retail? If they choose wholesale I will sign them up. The best part of this point for me was how to approach someone without turning them off to the company. I have people who want to drink the juice and not sell it so I will tell those buyers they can become a "member".

I love that approach because every place offers discounts to their members now...like Costco.
If someone wants to do the business, they are distributors.

I want to mention that this post comes from me and what I got from the meeting. Lori is fabulous and I encourage all Team L.A. members to try to hear her next time. I have watched her from the beginning and I can say that she is truly working this business with integrity. That is what I hope to do also.

There was another point she made that is very important. Lori suggest we buy some juice in bulk so that we can really get it out there. Whether we charge for it or not is up to each distributor to decide. Her main point was that we need to have plenty of product on hand because we have a harder time selling something that we cannot share.

Bulk orders come in 3, 6, 9, 12 cases. Whew! But I am a firm believer that if I want what she has I must do what she does!!!

MYTH #2 ~ I NEED A PLAN

TRUTH ~ YOU NEED A VISION

The belief that you need a plan probably stops more momentum than any other single rationale. You need a motivating vision before you can have a plan. If you are waiting for the "plan" you will be perpetually stalled.

Explore Your Passion ~ Express those areas of your life that bring you meaning and joy regardless of where it may lead you. Beginning with passion as the foundation of your life is critical because it ALWAYS takes you someplace rewarding.

Capture A Vision ~ Begin to build a vision based on your passion with no regard or "investment" in how it will occur. You are a vision-driven human being already. Everything you have already experienced in your life has been preceded by a related vision. You know that if you really believe something will work, it most likely will. You can just "see" it coming true. By the same token if you envision failure, that's what happens.

Your vision begins to supplant the "plan". Passion provides the energy and the fuel. Your vision provides the direction. You need to feel and experience the vision of your ideal passion-based life first, and allow it to be the driving force of your plans and actions. Visioning is not a great mental activity. As you get clear on what you want, you most likely will be "struck" with new ideas. Pay attention to them.

Take Some Action ~ Once you have explored your passion and captured your vision you are ready for action. You simply act accordingly, miracles will begin to take place. Opportunities will present themselves. Stay in action. If your actions are driven by a passion-based vision, it will not feel overwhelming. In fact, it will feel so right! Focusing on your vision is so much more productive than trying to create a plan. Begin taking some small steps toward your vision now and a plan will begin to emerge.

If you REALLY want to excel, focus on expanding your sense of purpose and passion, and let go of the results. The first step in enhancing your performance is to shift the perspective to the process of doing what you love rather than producing results. Focus on your passion and a sense of making a larger contribution.

Finally, what are the beliefs that limit you and what small steps/risks can you begin to take that will help you to alter them?

The belief that hard work is a requirement for value and identity is a reflection of our puritan forefathers and mothers who came over on the Mayflower, and has been handed down through generations since that time. Their work ethic served these pioneers well in a brand new country where they were passionately fighting for their religious freedom.

What is often overlooked is that it was the passion that drove them, not the work.

For those of us living today work has simply become work – meaning to get a paycheck- often an empty, difficult and meaningless daily exercise.

PASSION IS THE DRIVING FORCE ~ Anyone who has been truly happy and successful has done so from the same source: PASSION!

Think of anyone in your life that you really respect for his/her accomplishments. Are they doing it just for the money? Are they dragging through the week, desperate to get to Friday? People who achieve their dreams are filled with this incredible life force and energy called passion. They may even seem divinely inspired.

PASSION COMES FROM TAKING RISKS ~ Basic law: those who consistently risk reap the rewards. Passion is a force that opens doors.

RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED STUDY CONFIRMS MONAVIE ACTIVE™ AÇAI JUICE HAS HIGH ANTIOXIDANT CAPACITY
Results To Be Presented At Fruits and Vegetables Health 2007 Conference

PUYALLUP, WA, October 9, 2007 — The results of recent research surrounding MonaVie Active™, a juice containing açai berries and pulp, as well as other nutrient-rich fruits, will be presented in a session entitled “Antioxidants in Fruits and Vegetables and Improving Human Health” at the 2nd International Symposium on Human Health Effects of Fruits and Vegetables on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, 10:15 a.m. – noon, in the Grand Salon East at the Omni Hotel in Houston, TX. Alexander Schauss, PhD, FACN, will highlight findings of in vitro studies evaluating the antioxidant capacity of MonaVie, as well as in vivo studies to determine antioxidant absorption and bioactivity.

This three-part study examined whether the fruit antioxidants in MonaVie are in a form able to enter into and protect living cells in vitro and also examined the bioavailability of MonaVie and its effect on serum biomarkers of oxidative damage after ingestion. An initial in vitro study was performed to evaluate the antioxidant capacity of MonaVie in a cell-based antioxidant capacity (CAP) assay, as well as using the TEAC assay that found it to be 28,421 µmolTE/L. MonaVie showed a clear dose-dependent antioxidant effect in the CAP assay, indicating that compounds in MonaVie are able to cross the plasma membrane of living cells and subsequently provide significant protection from oxidative damage within the cells.

In the second stage of the study, four ounces of MonaVie was administered to six participants on a single day to identify the time course for antioxidant absorption and bioactivity. Blood samples were collected immediately prior to ingestion and at 30, 60 and 120 minutes post consumption. Evidence of absorption, based on increased antioxidant bioactivity and antioxidant compounds in serum was found in all six subjects. A third randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over study of 12 healthy adults was then conducted. Participants fasted overnight and a baseline blood sample was drawn. Immediately afterward, four ounces of MonaVie or a placebo was consumed. Blood samples were drawn at one and two hours after ingestion, and CAP and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) assays were used to evaluate serum antioxidant capacity and serum lipid peroxidation, respectively. Consumption of MonaVie resulted in an increase in the serum antioxidant capacity in 11 of 12 participants within two hours of consumption. Results also found that ingestion of MonaVie resulted in a decrease in serum lipid peroxidation within two hours of consumption in 10 of the 12 study participants, most likely due to the increased serum antioxidant capacity.

Alexander G. Schauss, PhD, FACN, senior director of natural and medicinal products research for AIBMR Life Sciences, has held faculty appointments at four institutions of higher learning, including that of associate professor of behavioral sciences, associate professor of research, clinical professor of natural products research and adjunct research clinical professor of botanical medicine. He now concentrates on research. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Linus Pauling Lecture Award from the American College for the Advancement of Medicine for “contributions to the medical sciences.” The author of 12 books on health and nutrition, and the senior co-author of four others, Dr. Schauss lives in Tacoma, Wash.

The 2nd International Symposium on Human Health Effects of Fruit and Vegetables provides a forum for horticultural scientists, nutritionists, food scientists, biomedical scientists, chemists, biochemists, clinicians, medical professionals and social economists to exchange information and bridge the communication gap between the agricultural sciences, nutrition and health sciences. President's Message: Building a Home-Based Business with Integrity

Dear MonaVie,

Each week, thousands of individuals worldwide become members of the MonaVie family to experience our unique products and exceptional financial opportunity. With our extraordinary growth, we expect that MonaVie will continue to attract individuals looking to build a home-based business.

We believe in abundance—not scarcity—at MonaVie. At no time have we as a company targeted another direct selling company to influence their distributors to join us. In fact, many of MonaVie's top leaders have never been involved in direct selling prior to joining MonaVie. We are, in essence, increasing the circle of influence this amazing form of free enterprise has in today's society.

We recognize that for a number of reasons—including a product that can benefit everyone, exciting rewards and recognition, and a record of delivering on our promises—we will continue to attract people from other companies. However, we ask that no distributor purposely target another direct selling company, as this is not in harmony with the MonaVie culture. We have no desire to cause any harm or consternation to any company offering a home-based financial opportunity.

Recently, some individuals (previously with Quickstar/Amway) chose to join MonaVie. Once their respective non-compete agreements have expired, we will welcome them one at a time to the MonaVie family. All MonaVie distributors are required to abide by our Policies and Procedures. We ask that individuals who have non-compete obligations to another direct selling company honor those obligations. As a company, we are 100% committed to ensuring the long term success of MonaVie. At no time would any distributor, or group of distributors, be allowed to circumvent our Policies and Procedures.

As evidence of how strongly we feel about our commitment to operate with the highest level of integrity, we've recently altered our online application. We now ask each new MonaVie distributor to verify that, by joining us, they are not violating the Policies and Procedures of any other direct selling company with whom they may currently be, or have previously been, affiliated.

Furthermore, we recognize that some of the individuals joining us from Quickstar/Amway will have specific ideas for a business building system. These distributors will be treated as would any other distributor: If and when any of these individuals reaches the rank of Black Diamond, or have a qualified Black Diamond sponsor, they will be allowed to submit their system for teaching and training their MonaVie distributors to our Compliance department. Pending approval from the MonaVie Compliance department, they will receive an independent seal of approval.

Each MonaVie distributor is free to follow any training system approved by the MonaVie Compliance department; however, I strongly encourage all distributors to follow the approved system provided by their line of sponsorship. It is inappropriate for any distributor to entice another MonaVie distributor to switch from one business building system to another. Likewise, it is inappropriate—and against our policies—for a distributor to entice another distributor to switch lines of sponsorship.

Finally, we have grown as a company because of the trust we have built with our employees, vendors, and, most importantly, with you, our valued distributors. If for whatever reason, any MonaVie distributor ever feels they would be better served by pursuing another financial opportunity, we would wish them Godspeed and simply hope that they would continue experiencing the health enhancing benefits of our products. And, should the opportunity ever arise, we would welcome them back with open arms to once again pursue their financial dreams through MonaVie.
